So, I found a working copy of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom available on Fitgirl Repacks that comes with the emulators as well. I couldn’t resist and I totally had to give this game a try. I also hadn’t really played around with any Nintendo Switch emulators yet, so this was an opportunity to see how those works out.
Above I’ve attached a short gameplay clip. This one was recorded using the yuzu Nintendo Switch emulator. The emulation on my gaming laptop wasn’t perfect. Any time the emulator had to load considerable shaders, it would sort of lag up. This was a disappointment. However, it wasn’t a big deal considering I was getting a little preview of this awesome upcoming game.
Above is another short gameplay video. The first video I uploaded was in the yuzu early access emulator. This next video is on the current yuzu branch. The performance was pretty similar.
